Abuse policy

NGO websites ask the public for trust and money. This is how we keep them honest.

Seen a fake or misused NGO website?

Tell us the website address and what is wrong. Screenshots help. We reply within one working day.

Not allowed on any website we host

  • Asking for donations for a cause, person or event that does not exist, or using money for something other than what donors were told.
  • Pretending to be another NGO, a government body or a well-known person.
  • False claims about registration, 80G, 12A, FCRA or awards.
  • Hate, threats or violence against any person or group.
  • Sexual content, or anything that could harm children.
  • Anything illegal in India, copied content you have no right to use, spam, phishing or harmful software.
  • Publishing people's personal details, such as phone numbers, photos or ID documents, without their permission.

What we do when something is reported

  • We reply to the person who reported it within one working day.
  • We check the website and ask the NGO to explain or fix the problem.
  • If the problem is serious, such as fraud or harm to a child, we take the website offline straight away while we check.
  • If the NGO breaks this policy, we can close its account. We share information with the police or other authorities when the law requires it.

If you think you were cheated

Contact your bank or UPI app first; they may be able to stop or reverse the payment. You can also report it on the National Cyber Crime helpline 1930 or at cybercrime.gov.in. Then tell us, so we can stop it from happening to anyone else.

For NGOs using our service

You are responsible for everything you publish and every donation you ask for. Keep your registration details true and up to date, and spend donations as you tell donors you will. If someone reports your website, we will contact you before taking any action, unless the problem is serious.
